Art:
Riet Bakker is a dutch ceramist. Her work is inspired by forms from nature. Old drawings from Ernst Haeckel’s ‘Kunstformen de Natur’ (1899-1904) led her to the trail of micro-organisms, in particular diatoms, foraminiferae, radiolariae and desmidiaceae. But you will also find bursting seed pods, strange fruits, flowers, birds, and the human body. Her website is worth a visit!
